Love Dunfermline is put together by Benn Brown, a designer based in the city. He started it for a simple reason: there was no single, beautiful thing you could pick up and hold that showed off what Dunfermline actually has to offer.

Benn handles the design, the walking about, the conversations with local businesses and the endless small decisions that go into deciding what makes it onto the map, always with the aim of keeping it useful, honest and free for everyone.

Love Dunfermline is Dunfermline’s free illustrated local map, celebrating the places that make the city what it is, from independent shops and cafés to historic landmarks, green spaces and hidden gems.

Made by local designer Benn Brown, it’s designed to be useful and beautiful; something to keep in your back pocket or on the kitchen table. Each edition is illustrated by the winner of a Dunfermline school competition, making sure the locals of the future have a hand in it too.

It’s for locals, day-trippers and visitors who want to see a little more of the city. Rather than trying to include everything, Love Dunfermline is a hand-picked guide to places worth knowing about, somewhere to start if you fancy finding a new café, discovering an independent shop, visiting somewhere historic or simply wandering a little further than usual.

Local businesses help support each edition and keep it free for everyone. Every place featured also stocks copies, with more available whenever they need them.
